In spite of the fact that the new computer of the Hewlett-Packard company is more similar to a toy for adults, it is mainly intended for work, instead of for entertainments. Probably, even this computer opens a new era of the input equipment.

HP Sprout represents a touch monoblock on the basis of the Windows 8.1 operating system which main feature is something similar to a peak. The device, established is slightly higher than the display, HP Illuminator is called and consists of the 3D-scanner, the chamber and a projector for transfer of images from the screen on the touch surface issued in the form of a 20-inch rug.

The presentation of a novelty took place on HP action in New York in the presence of a great number of journalists, including from the Wired newspaper. The Hewlett-Packard company describes the new computer as the first product in a line of devices of «the mixed reality» which aspires to unite real and virtual environments.

No wonder that the similar product was developed by HP. Last year the company let out a number of computers and peripherals with Leap Motion technology use.

Though the HP Sprout computer is equipped with the physical keyboard and a mouse, work with it mostly is carried out by means of fingers, a stylus and a vlagozashchishchenny rug on which it is also possible to project virtual keys. Journalists noted that did not expect such convenience of work with the virtual keyboard.

Besides displaying of the second screen on a surface where the keyboard usually settles down, HP Illuminator can scan documents and physical objects by means of the 14,6-megapixel module with Intel RealSense technology use. The company also let out a tool kit which allows developers to build in the Illuminator functions the appendices.

For example, Microsoft already introduced function which allows to scan, distinguish and insert the printing text into the document in the package of office applications. Besides, the system allows to add quickly the scanned images in the PowerPoint and Word documents.

Initially the computer offers 2D-scanning possibilities, but already to the middle of 2015 of HP promises to let out tools for three-dimensional scanning and modeling.

During presentation of the new product of HP noted that Sprout is intended for use by people of creative specialties, such as artists, designers, photographers, and also for command work in real time.

As to all the rest, in essence Sprout is a traditional computer. The car uses the 4-nuclear Intel Core i7 processor with clock frequency of 3,2 GHz, 8 gigabytes of random access memory, hybrid HDD/SSD – the store in volume 1 terabyte and NVIDIA GeForce GT 745A graphics with 2 gigabytes of RAM. The main LCD display with 1080p-permission has a diagonal of 23 inches. Also there are sockets HDMI, USB 3.0/2.0, the device of reading memory cards of the SD/SDHC/SDXC format and stereodynamics.

Today HP Sprout is offered – to buy as complete system Illuminator and a rug separately for use with other Windows-computers it will not turn out.

Sprout is already available to the preorder on a site HP at the price of 1900 dollars. Deliveries are planned for November 9. On the same day the computer will appear in Best Buy shops, B&H and Microsoft Store.
